• Imagine that you are a new local producer or supplier of goods’ group unknown to the Ukrainian market.
• How realistic is it to get on the shelf of a large supermarket? How the overall selection process from a chain perspective is and what advice can you give the supplier to increase his chances of getting on the shelf?
• Government, chains, retailers or consumers. Who sets rules of the game today?
• Margin: how it is distributed between the supermarket and the supplier. What does this distribution depend on: product category, brand, country of manufacture, standards, personal arrangements or something else?
• What is the role of the State in the interaction of chains and suppliers today and what should it be? What needs to change at the legislative level?
• How has the relationship between chains and suppliers changed during the pandemic?
• How did the network show loyalty to suppliers affected by the lockdown? What else needs to be implemented?
• Pricing for increased demand. Last year, we faced an increase in the price on basic necessities. This led to a negative reaction from the consumer, and it was primarily directed to the chains. From the supplier’s point of view, why did such a price jump occur and how could it have been avoided?
• The whole world is now concerned about environmental issues, overproduction and unregulated waste. Shelf life of hundreds tons of products expire in supermarkets. This leads to supplier losses, additional logistics and environmental pollution. How do chains now manage surplus production and which model can work more efficiently?
• What international experience will be useful to apply to Ukrainian realities in terms of: the legal regulation, the mutual responsibility of chains and suppliers, meeting consumer demand, global trends.
