About the event

RAU Expo is an annual industry exhibition that brings together the retail, development, commercial real estate, and manufacturing sectors in Ukraine. The event is organized by the Retailers Association of Ukraine (RAU).

Since 2017, RAU Expo has served as a professional platform for key market players to meet: retail chains, development companies, shopping centers, manufacturers, solution providers, and technology and service companies.

In 2026, RAU Expo is taking place in an expanded format, adding the manufacturing sector to its traditional focus areas. Indeed, retail, commercial real estate, and manufacturing are shaping today’s market in close collaboration.

The event combines an exhibition, thematic sessions, case studies, and B2B networking, creating a space for new solutions, professional dialogue, and strategic partnerships.

11:00 - 11:40
Panel discussion: “Competing for the Buyer’s Attention”

Key questions:

  1. Private label vs. brand: who is really winning the battle for customer trust today? Is brand name still the deciding factor, or are consumers increasingly choosing private labels because of the balance of price, quality, and affordability?
  2. The shelf as a competitive battleground: how do retailers balance the development of their own brands with partnerships with major manufacturers to avoid losing both profitability and customer loyalty?
  3. Can private labels stop being a “cheap alternative” and become a full-fledged brand of choice?
  4. What strategies enable private labels to move into the segment of high-quality, emotionally appealing, and even premium products?
  5. Competition or coexistence: how is the role of classic brands in retail changing as chains increasingly develop their own brands, and what new models of cooperation could be beneficial to both sides?
